Heritage Club
The Heritage Club has started its operations in the academic year 2024-25. This club functions in alignment with the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the objectives of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture amongst Youth). In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which aims to transform India's education system by emphasizing the Indian Knowledge System, Indian Values, Art, and Culture, the club strives to raise awareness among students about our rich heritage. The Heritage Club serves as a platform to promote these values and foster holistic awareness among youth.

OBJECTIVES OF CLUB
- ● The primary objectives of the club are to:
- ● Promote the appreciation and preservation of cultural heritage through educational and artistic means.
- ● Inspire students to engage with history and cultural traditions.
- ● Foster artistic expression related to heritage themes, and acknowledge and celebrate local talent.
- ● Integrate heritage with modern education.
- ● Host quizzes, debates, and creative competitions like photography, poster-making, and essay writing on heritage themes to spark student interest.
- ● Collaborate with external organizations.
EVENT ORGANIZED
The Heritage Club innaugearation function was organized in the college. 157 students attended the event with the special guest Mr. Prasad Tale, a Historian. On the occasion of the inauguration, a sketch competition was conducted on the theme of heritage site sketches. Participants were tasked with sketching historically significant sites, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of heritage preservation through art. 1st ranked winners: Abhay Tripathi & Pragya Singh.

DESCRIPTION
The visit to Pataleshwar Caves and Lal Mahal was a great success, fulfilling its objective of fostering historical awareness among the Heritage Club members. The participants left with a deeper appreciation of Pune’s cultural legacy and an enhanced interest in heritage conservation. The event was well-organized and received positive feedback from all attendees.
