Competitive Examination Cell


The Competitive Exam Cell is a support system within the college designed to assist students preparing for various competitive exams. It provides resources, guidance, and structured programs to help students succeed in entrance exams for higher education, government recruitment exams, and professional certifications.

    OBJECTIVES OF CLUB
  • ● To Provide Guidance and Resources for Competitive Exams - The cell aims to provide structured guidance, study materials, and resources for various competitive exams (such as UPSC, SSC, GRE, CAT, GATE, etc.).


  • ● To Organize Workshops and Seminars on Exam Strategies.


  • ● To Offer Regular Mock Tests and Practice Sessions.


  • ● To Foster Peer Learning and Collaborative Study Groups.


  • ● To Offer Counseling and Career Guidance.



    EVENT ORGANIZED
    On 12th August 2024, the Competitive Examination Cell, in collaboration with the Library Department, organized an "Open Forum Competition" and celebrated Librarian Day. The event aimed to provide students with a platform to engage in oral presentations on issues and topics relevant to the MPSC/UPSC mains and interviews. The competition encouraged participation in various topics, including Criminal Law, RTI (Right to Information), Panchayat Raj, the Concept of Social Justice, and Rural Development.

    Participation
    Although 81 students had registered for the competition, the actual attendance was significantly higher, with 110 students participating in the program. This overwhelming response demonstrated the enthusiasm among the students to engage in discussions on critical societal issues.

    Event Proceedings as follown:
    The program commenced with an open discussion on the selected topics. Participants were given the opportunity to present their views, and language was not considered a barrier, ensuring inclusivity.

    Vice Principal Dr. Manasi Atitkar delivered an inspiring speech that set the tone for the event. Following her, Mr. Nilesh Mate, the Coordinator of the Library Department, shared his thoughts on the importance of Reading and librarian day and such initiatives. Prof. Diksha highlighted the new venture of an open forum, emphasizing the significance of such platforms in preparing students for competitive examinations.

    An interesting aspect of the event was the introduction of an open voting system through a Whats App poll, which allowed participants and attendees to vote on the presentations in each round. This innovative approach added an interactive element to the competition.

    The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by student coordinator Tanishka Veer and Vignesh Dasgaonkar, who expressed gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees for making the event a success. The Open Forum Competition and Librarian Day celebration were highly successful, providing students with a valuable opportunity to enhance their public speaking skills and deepen their understanding of important topics relevant to competitive examinations. The high turnout and active participation underscored the importance of such events in academic and professional development.
