Activities Overview

1. The event was participated in by the student club.

Shodh Competition: Organized by the R&D Cell of MIT ACSC. Chinmay Dhende and Shivani Kamthe won the First Prize, while Praneet Nikam secured the Second Prize.


All India Management Aptitude Test (MAT): Himanshu Dudhgawali (TYBBA) secured 2nd position in his category.


Add Selfie – Commerce Week: Arpit Bafna emerged as the winner at the Intercollegiate Event held on 10th & 11th February 2017.


ONYX 2K17 – Mock Placement: Praveen Kumar Yadav was among the top 10 winners at the National Level Event held at MIT AOE, Alandi.


Maharashtra State Boxing Championship: Bevan Mategaonkar (SYBBA) won the Gold Medal at the Senior Men’s Championship held at Nagpur on 28th November 2016.


MR. SRUJAN – Fashion Show: Pratik Mohite (SYBBA) won First Prize at the event organized by MIT Kothrud on 14th December 2016.


Inter-Collegiate Debate Competition: Praveen Kumar (SYBBA) won First Prize at the competition organized by Pratibha College of Commerce and Studies, Pimpri, Pune on 23rd August 2016.


Aavishkar Competition: Achievements include College Level (Siddhi Prasade 2024–25), Zonal Level (Praveen Kumar 2017–18, Sania Inamdar 2021–22, Muskan Sharma, Kirti Nazarkar, Nirjala Tapkir, Radhika Tapdiya 2024–25), and University Level (Aakash Jangid 2021–22).


Smart India Hackathon: Participation by Aakash Jangid and Siddhi Prasade (2023–24).


P. C. Alexander Elocution Competition: Aakash Jangid participated during the academic year 2022–23.


IIT Bombay – EUREKA (Idea Pitching Competition): Muskan Sharma and Kirti Nazarkar represented the institute at the Zonal Level (2024–25).


Business Model Presentation – BioWrap: Vaishnavi Shinde, Madhur Ghate, and Burhan Daware presented the business model.


Vishwa Tech Spectra: Held at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, where Team BioWrap secured the Second Position.

2. Guest Lectures, Workshops and Events Organized

Orientation Programme on Avishkar: An orientation programme on Avishkar – Zonal Level Avishkar Research Competition for the year 2016–17 was organized for the students of BBA and BBA IB Department on 26th September 2016. Prof. Sunil Mahajan, Academic Research Coordinator, MIT ACSC, Alandi delivered the session.


Business Plan Presentation Competition: An intra-collegiate Business Plan Presentation Competition was organized on 6th September 2016 to observe Entrepreneurship Day. Ms. Ankita Shroff, Director, SAV Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Pune delivered a session on ‘Recent Trends in Management’. Ten groups from BBA and BCA departments presented their business plans.


Management Week (IPSUM 2K17): Management Week IPSUM 2K17 was conducted on 7th and 8th February 2017. A total of 269 entries were received from 17 colleges of Pune city and nearby regions.


Debate Competition: A debate competition on the topic “Business & Social Ethics” was organized for SY/TY BBA and TY BBA–IB students on 18th July 2016 to enhance students’ confidence and communication skills.


Guest Lecture – Towards Excellence: A guest lecture on ‘Towards Excellence…’ was conducted on 27th August 2016 for BBA and BBA (IB) students. Mr. Rajesh Phatale, Principal and Corporate Trainer, Blue Chip Business Solutions, Pune delivered the lecture on changing trends in management, international business environment, and soft skills.


Poster Presentation on Union Budget 2016: A poster presentation competition on Union Budget 2016 was organized for BBA and BBA IB students on Monday, 8th August 2016.


Book Review Competition: The Department of BBA & BBA–IB organized a book review competition on 12th August 2017. Students presented book reviews in English and Marathi languages. A total of 19 students participated.


Guest Lecture on German Business Opportunities: A guest lecture on “Business Opportunities & Related Awareness of Employment in German Industries” was organized on 9th August 2017. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Frank Hoffman, Regional Director, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC).


Inauguration of CORPO Club: On the occasion of inauguration of the departmental initiative CORPO Club (Corporate Operations Representation for Progressive Outcome), Mr. Viral Shah, Subject Matter Expert and Business Coach, IIIEM was invited on 27th August 2018. A total of 105 students were present.


Book Review Competition – RIFE AND RAW Club: The RIFE AND RAW Club of BBA & BBA–IB Department organized a college-level book review competition on 4th August 2023 in the college seminar hall. A total of 34 students participated.


Bring Back Childhood Event: The RIFE AND RAW Club organized a college-level event “Bring Back Childhood” on 27th September 2023. A total of 45 students participated.


Jashna-e-Rishtaon Competition: The RIFE AND RAW Club organized a college-level competition “Jashna-e-Rishtaon” on 28th August 2023 in the college garden. A total of 30 students participated.


Extempore Speech Competition: The RIFE AND RAW Club inaugurated its first event, an Extempore Speech Competition, on 21st July 2023 in the seminar hall for FY, SY, and TY students. A total of 37 students participated.

4. INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY” Guest Lecture on "My Menstruation My Pride

Description

The objective of this guest lecture was to create awareness about menstrual hygiene and puberty-related changes among both girl and boy students. The online guest lecture provided a comprehensive understanding of various health issues, covering the what, why, and how aspects. It helped students develop a biological understanding, addressed related social taboos, and made them aware of proper hygiene practices to be followed during these biological changes.

Furthermore, the session provided actionable guidance on diverse strategies for achieving leadership roles within the corporate sector, emphasizing that such opportunities are accessible to students across various academic disciplines.

6. “THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY - Report on "Yoga – The Way of Life”

The workshop effectively highlighted the multifaceted benefits of yoga, extending beyond physical postures to emphasize its holistic impact on overall well-being. Participants gained a deeper understanding of yoga as a powerful practice for cultivating inner peace and managing stress. The session also fostered an appreciation for yoga’s rich heritage and its profound influence on health. As a result, students—particularly the female participants who actively engaged in Surya Namaskar—were motivated to explore and incorporate yoga into their daily lives to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
